HOWARD J. WAYNE is the founding partner of the firm and a graduate of the University of Massachusetts and Boston College Law School. Mr. Wayne is admitted to the Massachusetts Bar as well as the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the First Circuit Court of Appeals and the Court of Military Appeals. Mr. Wayne specializes in business transactions and is also well versed in all licensing and permitting matters, representing clients before local administrative boards, zoning boards, Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission and federal regulatory agencies. Other areas of practice include complex litigation, labor law, corporate acquisition and media law. Mr. Wayne is the past Chairperson of the Massachusetts Developmental Disabilities Council, having been appointed by Governor Weld in 1994. He also served as a member of the Massachusetts Real Estate Board and was vice president of the Cape Cod Baseball League. Mr. Wayne is the past Chairman of the Salem State College Board of Trustees and serves as the Council of Board Chairs for the National Association of Governing Boards of Colleges and Universities. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity-Boston and was appointed in 2007 as a Commissioner of the Asian American Commission.
