EUGENE R. RICHARD is a partner of the firm and a graduate of Yale University (cum laude) and Boston College Law School (cum laude). Mr. Richard is a member of the Massachusetts Bar, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the United States Courts of Appeal for the First and Ninth Circuits, and has handled court cases, administrative proceedings, arbitrations and appeals in numerous other state and federal courts and agencies. Mr. Richard counsels clients regarding a wide range of business issues, including contract negotiation and enforcement, licensing and regulatory compliance, employment and labor, and entity formation and transactions. Mr. Richard has represented individuals and corporate clients in diverse industries, including retailing, hospitality, wholesale, pharmacy, dentistry, software development, consulting, broadcasting, construction, demand management, performance contracting, building management, building controls, and life safety manufacture, installation and maintenance. Reported cases include: Massachusetts Food Ass'n v. Massachusetts Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission, 197 F.3d 560; FDIC v. Abrams, 968 F.Supp. 19; Eyal v. Helen Broadcasting Co., 411 Mass. 426; Dole v. Papa Gino's of America, Inc., 712 F.Supp. 1038; Commonwealth v. Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co., Inc., 404 Mass. 476; Bd. of Selectmen of Sudbury v. ABCC, 25 Mass.App.Ct. 470; and Grimaldi v. Dept. of the Interior, 60 M.S.P.R. 49. Mr. Richard was recently named a Massachusetts Super Lawyer in the field of business law, on a list that recognizes the top five percent of attorneys in Massachusetts, and is peer review rated “AV” by Martindale-Hubbell. |
