ANNE MARIE ANDERSON is of counsel to the firm and a graduate of Dartmouth College and Boston College Law School. Most recently she served as Health Care and Regulatory counsel to Brooks and Eckerd Pharmacies comprised of more than 1,800 retail locations across 18 states. Her responsibilities included direct oversight of the Regulatory, Privacy and Licensing departments as well as compliance with local, state and national requirements concerning HIPAA; Medicare and Medicaid registration, fraud and abuse, and billing issues; price scanning; licensing for pharmacy, liquor, and tobacco; litigation; Pharmacy Board matters; corporate integrity tracking and reporting; and legal analysis on Regulatory Affairs issues facing retailers and pharmacies.

Prior to her work at Brooks/Eckerd Ms. Anderson served both as an Associate and of counsel attorney at Wayne, Richard and Hurwitz and also operated her own firm. Her practice concentrates in the areas of pharmacy law, health care, retail compliance issues, corporate litigation, licensing and regulatory compliance matters.

Ms. Anderson is a member of the American Society for Pharmacy Law and the Massachusetts Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

Reported Cases include Am. Drug Stores v. Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, 973 F. Supp. 60 (D.Mass.1997).
